Mr. Gideon K. Muturi was admitted to the bar in 2017. He attended his pupilage at the law firm of MMC Africa law rising to the position of associate advocate in December 2017. He joined the law firm of MG Law in May of 2018 as an Associate Advocate in the Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Recoveries Department. He is well versed in;

When not practicing law Gideon spends his free time writing or providing legal aid. He also enjoys participating in charity events.
He has been part of the legal team representing leading financial institutions in various suites; acted for a leading bank in challenging the appointment of a receiver (subject matter being Ksh 40B) and also acted for the same bank in the recovery of KSh 2.4M from a loan defaulter, acted for a major bank in defending a case that eventually led to the recovery of over Ksh 450M after exercising the statutory power of sale. He also represented a company in the enforcement of an arbitral award made in Paris- France in favor of a client (subject matter being $1.5M USD. Was part of the legal team involved in the acquisition of a Ugandan branch of a mid-tier Bank in Kenya.
Has been part of legal teams acting for leading telecommunication firms in various suites; acted for Safaricom in a petition seeking to quash the decision of the Communication Authority to install a Device Management System, acted for a Telco in opposing a suit claiming innovative rights over NFC technology and has also acted for a leading Telco in several suites related to copyrights, collection & distribution of royalties.
He has acted for various companies and employees in employment disputes; Represented a company in a matter where an employee sought terminal benefits of Ksh 250M.
He has been part of the legal team representing various clients in cases before the Environment & Land court and the National Environment Tribunal including; Acted for Kenya Railways in a suit where the petitioner sought to halt the construction of the SGR Phase 2A (From Nairobi South to Naivasha), acted for a wind generating company in challenging the cancellation of a special license agreement of the development of a wind farm in Ngong Hills forest.
Has acted for various procuring entities before the public procurement regulatory authority; was part of the legal team that successfully defended Kenya Railways in a procurement dispute (subject matter being Ksh 650M & Ksh 250M). Has also acted for a construction & civil engineering firm in successfully challenging an award tender worth over Ksh 550M for the construction of a sewerage system along Waiyaki, Nairobi
Was part of the legal team that acted for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (I.E.B.C) in various election petitions after the 2017 General Elections such as the Nairobi Gubernatorial election.
