Ms. Stella Thuku was admitted to the bar in 2017. She successfully undertook her articles of pupillage at MG Law advocates and was consequently appointed to her current position of an associate advocate in 2018 in the Conveyancing and Commercial department. Her areas of specialization include;

She has outstanding research and documentation skills and is proficient at investigating complaints & preparing responses. She plays an integral role in offering transactory advice, drafting and reviewing of legal documents, and undertaking due diligence. She is also involved in Bank security documentation, drafting and review of employment contracts, advising clients as well as legal research
She is a Member of the Law of Society of Kenya (LSK) where she sits in the ICT & IP Liaison Committee (Nairobi branch)
Besides taking up law Stella loves figures and is a trained accountant (CPA III). She is an avid reader with a keen interest in legal publications. She is also a fun of Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi.
Stella is passionate about mentoring and empowering young girls, a role she takes up actively as a member of the Kenya Girl Guides Association. Additionally she is also an ambassador against Gender Based Violence.

She is involved in Drafting and reviewing joint venture agreements & non-disclosure agreements, drafting & reviewing documents on corporate restructuring and legal compliance, offering relevant legal & transactory advice and undertaking due diligence.
She is involved in the handling of Bank security documentation, perfection of securities and inherent negotiations for various financial institutions
Has been involved in the liquidation and winding up of various companies including a bank in line with the new Insolvency Act of 2015
Part of the legal team involved in the review and redrafting of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Kenya Electricity Generation Company (KENGEN) to identify the gaps, risks, and opportunities that best fit international standards and in compliance with the Energy Act
Has been involved in registration and renewal of Trademarks locally for a diverse number of clients including the Kenya Wine Agencies (KWAL).
Advises clients on legal employment matters including recruitment and termination and is also involved in the review and drafting of various employment contracts
Has honed her skills in arbitration in her previous position of an arbitration assistant
